电影片名的翻译应重点强调译名对观众的影响，为此翻译时要考虑到观众的思维习惯、审美特点、情感因素、知识背景等，以动态对等和顺应理论为指导，做到译文符合汉语的语言习惯、文化心理。优秀的汉译名一般具有能高度概括全局内容的特点，在遣词造句上多用四字词组且好用比喻。在大众消费文化的影响下，译名适当地追求夸张，套用旧有译名以增加对观众的吸引力亦无可厚非，但要避免陷入庸俗化的泥潭。
