| Abstract: | A brief investigation is made into different national cultural features semantically reflected in Chinese and English idioms,such as synonymy,homonymy,and semantic and form vacancy,etc.,with attempt to offer a better understanding of the cultural implication of languages and to achieve a more effective communication. |
