试论唐代江南旧士族及其家学渊源

史界一般认为 ,至唐代 ,江南士族早已衰落。事实却是 :江南士族的衰落指一般而言 ,有些高门士族凭靠深厚的家学渊源和文化世家的传统优势 ,至唐代 ,又能顺应由门荫世袭制到科举选官制的转变 ,通过科举入仕 ,从而保持了世代勋贤冠冕的地位。唐代江南籍的宰相基本为六朝士族出身 ,表明江南地区在唐朝高层政权中的影响和作用主要是通过六朝士族 ,并非唐朝新兴的家族。特别是唐后期 ,江南旧士族在高层政权中的地位和作用大大提高和加强

Historians generally consider that the old scholars south of the Yangtze had declined by Tang Dynasty.However,the fact was that it was only a general trend.Some with higher positions,with their superior family education and rich tradition,adapted themselves to the change from the hereditary to the examination system and became high officials in Tang Dynasty.They mostly came from families of the old scholar officials of the Six Dynasties.It indicated that the influence and function of the area south of the Yangtze came from the old scholar officials of the Six Dynasties,not as new families in Tang Dynasty.After Tang Dynasty,scholar officials of the area raised and strengthened their positions even the more.
