舟山群岛半千荷——舟山的历史与文化简论

历史与文化这两个概念常常被误读，而一般谈论历史与文化又囿于狭义的理解。历史与文化都属于宏观的时空范畴，故应建立大历史观与大文化观。在这种大时空观的观照下，可以把舟山5000年的历史划分为口头传说时期的历史与文字记录时期的历史；把舟山悠久的文化传承划分为准海洋文化时期与海洋文化时期。普陀山的观音文化亦应作如是观。

On Zhoushan's History and Culture

history and culture are two concepts which are often misread, and the general idea about history and culture is also confined in the narrow understanding. In fact, the history and culture belong to the macro concept of e time and space, therefore, a broad concept of history and culture should be established. It is in this broad space-time perspective that Zhoushan＇s 5000 long history can be divided into the history of oral tradition and the recorded history, and Zhoushan＇s long cultural can be divided into the pre-marine culture period and marine culture period. So is Buddhist culture of Goddess Mercy in Mount Putuo.
