论开、天时期重功名尚边功的风尚及其对王维的影响

唐开元、天宝时期 ,边患战争频繁 ,玄宗好大喜功 ,特别注重边事 ,不次奖拔大量立边功者 ,遂使从军入幕建立边功而入仕成为一条较之科举更为便捷的仕进之路 ,从而形成一种重功名尚边功的时代风尚。在此风尚影响下 ,文士们多有“功名只向马上取”之想 ,颇乐意寻找机会入幕从军 ,并多在诗文中歌咏勇武报国气概 ,赞美边将与侠少 ,呈现出一种积极进取的“少年精神”。王维尽管未走从军入仕之路 ,但其“少年精神”则突出地表现出他早年乃至壮年同样受到这一风尚的影响

The tendency of valuing contribution on frontiers and its influence on Wangwei

There were many wars happened on the frontiers during Kai Yuan,Tian Bao periods of Tang Dynasty.Tang Xuanzong,the emperor of that time,valued those wars very much and people who contributed to wars would surely be rewarded and promoted.Thus made contributing to frontier wars a more convenient and fast road to promotion.Many people stepped onto this road,including the scholars.So praising bravery and “the spirit of the young”became one of their works’themes.The same theme we can see from Wangwei’s works meant that these famous poets were affected by that special social style,too,though he never joined the army.
