知识经济时代的来临与儒家文化的回应

知识经济时代知识与以往时代知识相比,具有两个不同特点一是它更注重知识的实践性,即更注重科学理论的技术化过程;二是它必须与智慧相结合.由此而言,知识经济似乎可以与在中国传统文化中占主导地位的儒家文化相衔接.但是,儒家重道德轻知识的理论传统,又与知识经济的要求不相和谐.因此,知识经济时代的来临对儒家文化是一次严峻挑战.与西方文化必须经过"转识成智"的过程,开出智慧以平衡科技一样,儒家文化也必须经过"良知自我坎陷",开出科学精神以回应知识经济的挑战.

The Approach of Knowledge Economy and the Response of Confucian Culture

Compared with the knowledge in the previous times ,the knowledge in the Knowledge Economy Era is different in two aspects:First,it stresses practicality of knowledge,that is,the transition from scientific theories to technology,secondly,it must be combined with wisdom.Hence it seems possible to link the Knowledge Economy with the Confucian culture which played the most important part in the traditional culture of China,whereas,the Confucian theory tradition of preferring morality to knowledge does not harmonize with the requirements of the Knowledge Economy bring great challenges to Confucian culture.The western culture must follow a course of changing knowledge into wisdom,which produces wisdom to restrict science and technology,likely,the Confucian culture must respond to the challenges of the Knowledge Economy with scientific spirits produced from the process of self negation of innate knowledge.
