| Abstract: | Beautiful ladies in novels describing genius and beauty in Ming and Qing Dynasties were not barely the beautiful women with good looks.On the contrary,they won the world for their remarkable talent.Besides,they possessed great courage and had manly hearts though they were ladies.Furthermore,they had an insight into genius and made a wise marital decision.Those novels aimed at demonstrating their progressive ideas by describing the pursuit of intelligence;therefore,the traditional idea about gift,appearance and love can not sumd up the style features. |
