The Founding of the Shanghai Native Banks' Association and Its Early Operation

The Shanghai native banks recovered and developed quickly after XinHai Revolution. With increasing inside management and foreign affairs , the Shanghai Native Banks Association was founded in 1917 under the influence of Commerce & Industry association during the Late Qing Dynasty and Early Nationalist Period. The Shanghai Native Banks Association started with simple structure and operation, which improved over time. It took active measures to promote the interests and growth of Shanghai, indicating this native bank's positive attitude towards contemporary economic and social changes.
