| Abstract: | The mutual cooperation social norms in a village in Shandong province,which are followed in dealing with matter such as marriages,deaths,and the building of houses,perform the function of social security which may help them respond to economic risks by reducing the economic pressure imposed on them by the afore-mentioned matters.Such norms are sustained by supervision and punishment dealt out among individuals. |
