打工妹的城市社会化--一项关于农民工城市适应的经验研究

进城的打工妹是没有城市生活历史的"异乡人",需要通过城市社会化才能融入城市。城里入与乡下人,在视觉上,其社会身体呈现出显著的社会等级差异。如何打扮得像城里人,这是打工妹从进城的第一天起就开始了的身体城市化历程;城市话语不仅是打工妹与城市世界和城里人进行沟通的媒介,同时也是她适应新的社会身份或扮演新的社会角色的基础;城市行为方式和价值观念的获得与积累,是打工妹与城市社会互动的基础,是她们城市社会化的重要内容。

Socialization of Female Farmer Workers in Urban Areas:An Empirical Study

Alien to urban life, female farmer workers integrate themselves with the urban society through socialization. The outer appearance of people both inside and outside city presents a perceptible difference in social status. To dress in the same way as city dwellers turns to be the first step of their socialization in urban context. Urban dialect becomes not only a communicative means to mediate urban and rural groups, but also a ground to set up their new social identity and to perform their fresh roles on. The acquisition of urban manners and values, being a foundation of female farmer workers' interaction with the urban life, finds its importance in their socialization of urban life.
