| Abstract: | This paper assesses the expenditure on the administration of river conservancy during the Reign of Emperor Yongzheng. It reviews how the government collected, used and audited the expenditure of river management. It also estimates the average annual expenditure, which represents a reasonable portion within the central fiscal budget. |
