Time limits in permanency planning: The child welfare worker's perspective
Affiliation:University of California, BerkeleyUSA
Abstract:Public child welfare workers in California reported their judgments of time limits and the timing of court reviews under permanency planning statutes. Overall, workers support California's 12-month limit on reunification services, although differences emerge between staff with more child welfare experience and between agencies with differing training for and experience with permanency planning. Recommendations for policy and practice are forwarded.
