简论中国近代科学与民主的演进历程

中国近代对科学的学习促进了民主观念的形成,而民主的建立又促进了科学的发展。由于受到传统主从观念的影响,人们开始对两者展开了主从的争论,到了"五.四"时期,科学与民主才成为并立的两面大旗。人们之所以要区分主从,这与中国传统文化对民主建设的阻力有关,也与传统"道德中心论"有关。我们对先进文化的吸收,不应该区分主从,它是一个全面的吸取过程,每一种理论都只能解决某个领域的一部分问题,面对整个社会众多需要解决的问题,我们只能敞开心胸,广泛地吸纳。

Briefly on Evolution Process of Science and Democracy in China''''s Recent History

Studying science and technology from western countries promoted the formation of democracy in recent China,while the latter propelled the progress of science in return.However,under a strong influence of traditional master and slave concept,people launched a debate of the two parts,and it was until the period of the May 4th Movement that science and democracy had grown two great banners.They identified master and slave positions because the two parts blocked democratic building in some sense and were involved with traditional morality-centered theory.Drawing the former experience,we should open our mind and absorb advanced culture in a wide way to solve miscellaneous problems in society,and abandon master-and-slave concept using specific theory to handle issues in a certain field.
