论玉德与孔子的修身思想

摘    要:孔子的时代,玉是社会生活的重要内容,更是君子人格的象征。玉同人的行为、信念和修养联系在一起,言念君子,温其如玉。良玉温润光洁,君子依仁成德,为世人楷模。玉与士人有着不可分割的联系,君子无故,玉不去身。君子佩玉,温文尔雅,行止有方,玉声叮当,姿态雍容,君子要守身如玉。玉生石中,须雕琢方能成器;人非圣贤,须不断学习自律,方能成为君子。玉有德,君子亦须有德。孔子用玉规范"君子"的行为举止,琢玉求美,修身致善。

Abstract:In Confucius' era,the jade is the important content of the social life,and a symbol of gentleman's personality even more.The jade is linked to people's behavior,faith and training.The good jade is bright and clean;the gentleman is just like jade and has noble morality,so he is a model of the common people.The jade has inalienable contacts with gentleman.The gentleman wears the jade,the jade sound jingles;the gentleman's posture is very graceful.The jade was born in the stone and could become the jade articles only through carving; people are not the sages and men of virtue;only through studying constantly and containing by oneself,could become gentlemen.The jade has morality;the gentleman must have morality too.Confucius uses the jade standard the behavior of "gentleman",in order to achieve the goal of cultivating one's moral character.
