The Outstanding Contribution Made by Chen Yun at the Great Turn in History(1976-1982)

At junctures of the great turn in the course of events in history of Chinese Communist Party from the year of 1976 to the year of 1982, Chen Yun and Deng Xiaoping supported mutually and cooperated closely. With high sense of political responsibility and sense of historical mission, he advocated emancipating the mind, being practical and realistic and crushing the durance of "Two All (We must firmly vindicate all the decisions made by Mao Zedong and we must follow unswervingly all the indications made by Mao Zedong)"; pushing forward actively restoring things to order and redressing the grievance; evaluating correctly the historical status of Mao Zedong and insisting the guidance of Mao Zedong Thought; protesting strongly the adjustment of the national economy and pushing the reform of the economic system; appealing and developing energetically the democracy within the Party, perfecting the democratic centralism and rigorously enforcing the conduct of the party members as well as the party discipline; paying high attention to the construction of the leading cadres and the leading groups and participating in establishing the principle of the leading cadres that are revolutionized, younger in average, more knowledgeable and more professional. It exerts the pivotal and important role as the mainstay in solving the questions left over by history and new questions faced by the economic social development and inaugurating new period for the development of our socialistic cause and made outstanding contribution to the realization of the turn in the course of events in history of the Chinese Communist Party.
