| Abstract: | The inner form of compound linguistic symbols is the sum of their grammatical and semantic structures. And motivation is the driving force that makes the creation and development of these linguistic symbols possible. Therefore, a distinction has to be made between them. The shaping of lexical inner forms is a diachronic process, which is of remarkable significance in the history of lexical development. Modern Chinese is advanced in its inner forms. |
