| Abstract: | The images of modern women in Maodun's novels are a special group. On them, there is intense tragic color, which is epitomized by the conflicts that they can not get rid of. These conflicts include the conflicts between ideality and reality, soul and flesh, passion and reason , birth and death. The formation of this tragedy has its deep-rooted causes . |
