The Studies of Daoizm at the end of the 20th century

Research on Laozi has been notable ever since the 20th century. However, until now there is hardly a book of history of these studies on Laozi in a truly systematical and academical sense. It is disappointed, having read the History of Studies of Laoizm of Chinese Scholars, that a book as such can not but let scholars feel a sigh. In contrary, A Philosophy for Ultimate, Spiritual Residence for Mankind: A Modern Times' Research on Daoizm popular in Dynasties prior to Chin, though not a work specialized in the history of school of Laozi, provides us with more acceptable views than the former book. It plays a role in summoning and wakening for the researches on Daoizm since carried on well into the 21st century!
