建国以来四川铁路建设及作用

近代以来 ,四川人民久有修筑一条横贯四川盆地中部并连接全国各地的铁路愿望 ,但在清末至民国的半个多世纪里 ,这种愿望只是一种空想。建国以后 ,在中国共产党的领导下 ,成渝、宝成、川黔、成昆、襄渝、达成等铁路干线及支线的相继建成 ,终于使四川人民的铁路愿望由理想变为现实。四川铁路的相继建成通车并与全国铁路联网 ,为当地国民经济的迅速发展和人民生活的不断改善 ,以及西部大开发 ,提供了重要的基础设施条件

Railroad Construction in Sichuan since Liberation and Its Functions

Sichuan people had long been wishing to build a railroad crossing the heart of Sichuan Basin to connect with other parts of China, however this dream did not turn into reality until the liberation of China in 1949. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, many main railroad tranks and branches have been constructed, such as Chengdu Chongqing line, Baoji Chengdu line, Chengdu Guiyang line, Chengdu Kunming line, Xiangfan Chongqing line and Dachuan Chengdu line. The construction of railroad system of Sichuan province has played an important role in the rapid growth of the local economy and contributed greatly to the improvement of people's life. It also provides vital facilities for the present development of the whole western areas of China.
