| 摘 要： | 司徒雷登(John Le ighto Stuart 1876—1962),一个在中国出生并生活了50年的美国人,在近30年燕京大学校长任上①,为化解宗教与世俗、中国与西方、传统与现代一系列的矛盾,在精神、知性、管理方面的文化思想范式作了学理的探究,我们应对他在这一范式的推动下为建设中国一流大学所作的努力作充分的肯定。

| Abstract: | Born in China and living for fifty years on this land, John Leighto Stuart, an American being the president of Peking University for 30 years, has conducted an academic study of the cultural and ideological model in spirit, knowledge and management to solve the contradictions between religion and conventions, China and the West, tradition and modernity. The present paper has taken an affirmative attitude towards his contribution to the establishment of the best university in China with this mode. |
