唐山工人运动的先驱——李星昌

李星昌是唐山最早的中共党员之一，也是开滦矿区第一个党支部的负责人。他年轻时就探索解放道路，接受了革命启蒙；他积极参加共产党组织，走上了自觉革命道路；他勇当开路先锋，领导了开滦大罢工；他顶住各方面的威逼利诱，坚持罢工斗争；在罢工结束后他不惧报复迫害，坚持地下斗争。他是1922年开滦五矿同盟大罢工的领导成员之一，是唐山工人运动的先驱人物，在工人运动中发挥了重要的领导作用。

The Pioneer of Labor Movement in Tangshan-- LI Xing-chang

Li Xing-chang was one of the pioneer members of Communist Party of China in Tangshan, and he was in charge of the party branch in Kailuan mining area. Enlightened by revolutionary thought, Li Xing-chang began to explore the road to liberation in his youth; he joined in the Communist Party and took part in revolutionary movement consciously; he led the great strike in Kailuan; resisting threats and temptations, he kept on going on strike; unafraid of persecution, he adhered to underground struggles. As the pioneer, Li Xing-chang played an important role in the labor movement of Tangshang.
