| 摘 要： | 外语学习动机不仅与当前教育心理学中的学习环境与认知因素有联系，还包括个性维度与社会维度。在强调素质教育的今天，自我决定论从人的全面发展、人的自我实现、自我决定角度来解释外语学习动机更具说服力。自我决定论认为。社会环境为满足能力、自主、关系这三种心理需求提供了机会。如何完成从“以教师为中心”的被动学习向“以学生为中心”的主动学习的过渡是这个问题的关键。

| Abstract: | The paper gives a brief account of those different perspectives in the study of motivation in psychology, analyzes a variety of need theories of different researchers, and introduces the meaning of self-education. What is more important is to search the manner of self-education, and that can be used in language teaching to improve learning efficiency. |
