Five Ways in Which Critical Realism Can Help the Development of Marxism

The problem of the mechanical Marxism exists in the mechanical dialectical materialism;although Western Marxism seeks to avoid this mechanical view,it still has the characteristics of teleological transcendental schema which regards history as the process of the confirmation of subjective knowledge or class consciousness.Both of them move away from the essence of Marxism as a scientific social theory.The critique which critical realism has performed aiming at both of these approaches can serve to retain the essence of Marxism in five ways,thus leading us to be just plain Marxists.
