| Abstract: | The present thesis takes to analyze the ironic use of Christian mythic mode in most of Faulkner's works. It investigates, for the first time, four pairs of autonomous but relevant binary oppositions. This structural relevance determines the works' poetic function and their multiple implications in theme. |
