Chinese "Long" and Western "Dragon"

Language is like a mirror of the culture as well as the media of the culture.Translation,as an activity of cultural communication,is not only the meaning transition between two languages but the connection and harmony of two different cultures.In this case,understanding the differences of things is the key step.There exist different cultural implications between Chinese "Long" and the dragon in western people's eyes.In order to reach the real harmony of different languages with different cultures,we should try our best to make western people know more about the culturally-specific Chinese words and avoid the cultural clash.
