摘    要:模拟考试作为CET4考前训练的一种主要形式,在许多高校的大学英语课堂普遍存在。怎样有效地利用考试这个工具来促进教学,提高学生的英语综合使用能力是广大大学英语教师要思考的问题。根据问卷调查的数据,并经过和权威试卷(CET4试卷)进行对比,模拟考试在教学中应定位于“诊断考试”。模拟考试试卷还存在信度、效度方面的一些问题。大学英语教师作为模拟考试试卷的设计者和使用者,必须慎重对待试卷的设计和考试结果的使用,使其起到诊断教学和学习中存在的问题的作用。

Abstract:In order to prepare far Band Four of, College English Test (CET4), it is common for undergraduate students to take part in some model tests. As it is just a tool to guarantee and measure the teaching effects, English teachers should make full use of it to improve students language comprehensive abilities. According to the analysis of the data from a survey and the marks collected from some model test, the author points out we should regard the model test as a kind of diagnostic tests. It is wise to treat the tests as "diagnostic test". The English teacher, as the test designer should design the paper carefully to avoid the problemsin reliability and validity; and use the marks more skillfully to help students find and solve some problems in language teaching and learning.
