探讨当前专门用途英语教学在我国的发展、问题与对策

简要地介绍了专门用途英语教学在我国的发展情况,并从当前社会对复合型人才的需求和大学、中学英语课程设置重复两方面阐述了在大学阶段大力开展专门用途英语教学的必要性,进一步提出了目前该教学体系中的一些问题:教学师资严重匮乏,教材建设严重滞后,课程设置相当混乱,评估体系尚未建立,并针对这些问题提出了一些对策。

Exploring the Development,Problems and Countermeasures of Current ESP Teaching in China

This paper briefly introduces the development of ESP teaching in our country,states the necessity of devoting major efforts to developing ESP teaching at college from the aspects of social needs for interdisciplinary talents and repeated English curriculums in high school and university.Further, this paper presents the problems existing in this teaching system,including serious shortage of ESP teachers,delayed construction of teaching material,chaotic ESP curriculums,and undeveloped evaluation system.And the countermeasures to deal with such situations were put forward.
