圣俗之间:《礼记·明堂位》的礼仪空间探讨

作为中国礼仪空间的典型形象,明堂建筑的外在形态与上古中国神话宇宙观的关联,秦汉以来论说甚多,尤以当代学人研究详赡.而对以<礼记·明堂位>为主要文献的明堂内部空间叙事却触及甚少.空间要素如"门"、"墙"、"阶"、"位"与"向"等在先秦礼仪过程中,是内外攸分、正仪辨等标识身份、地位和权能的象征符码.它以模式化的空间叙事在种种仪式中,显示礼仪参与者之间亲疏远近、贵贱尊卑等社会伦理关系,实现了权力与秩序以及君临天下的空间功能.笔者借助仪式理论和考古建筑遗址复原图,尝试从仪式空间的角度对其进行微观探讨,主要目的在于揭示那些潜藏在"明堂"之"位"中的观念及其与明堂建筑的象征关联,从仪式空间的三个层面思考人们怎样通过模式化的叙事建构一个有意义的文化空间.
