| 摘 要： | 英国的英语词典编纂史源远流长,其传统特色为在语音、拼写、语意和语法上比较正规和传统;语言学性较强;成语、习语、词组和固定用语搭配较丰富;编排紧凑;学习词典占主体.美国的英语词典主要是在19世纪上半叶发展起来的,其传统特色主要表现为在语音、拼写、语意和语法上简便易懂;百科性强;同义词与反义词对比性突出;用非国际性音标标注;合成词及动词词组被另立词条;图表丰富多彩;附加信息量大;大学词典为主导.

| Abstract: | British English Dictionary with a long history is characterized by its British nature in pronunciation, spelling, meaning and grammar, strong linguistic characteristic, rich set phrase and idiom, compact arrangement and learner's English. Dictionary principle. American English dictionary having developed by the first half of the 19th century is distinguished by its American quality in pronunciation,spelling,meaning and grammar,plentiful encyclopedic information,prominence to synonyms and antonyms, non - international Phonetic Alphabet, separation of the compound words and verb phrases as entries, wealthy illustration,large attached information in the front or back pages and college English dictionary principle. |
