重评几十年来《故事新编》论争双方的主要论点

本文对五十多年的《故事新编》研究作了系统的历史回顾,肯定其作为历史小说,其中有关讽刺现实的借古讽今笔法于现实有利而于艺术有弊,并对认为讽刺现实是“融古铸今”,对历史小说的艺术也只有利没有弊的观点提出一定的批评。

A Reappraisal of the Main Arguments Advanced during the Haif—a—Century—Long Dispute over Gushi Xinbian (Ancient Chinese Stories Recreated)

In this paper, the half-a-century-long studies on Ancient Chinese Stories Recreated are systematically reviewed. It is pointed out that the writing technique of using the past events to disparage the contemporary reality is conducive to real life at the expense of art, thereby criticizing the viewpoint that to use the past to disparage the present is to fuse the past to make the present, and that this is a practice which is not harmful but helpful to the art of historical novel.
