明代武举新论

摘    要:为了弥补保举将才制度的不足,打破世袭制对武官铨选的限制,明朝开设武举。明代武举不是开始于天顺八年。武举制度在不同的时期对武官的铨选影响不同,弘治正德年间,武举影响甚微;嘉靖中期以后,武举的作用逐渐彰显;万历以后,武举的作用变得更为重要;天启崇祯年间,武举的作用达到巅峰。虽然武举制度的实施有利于打破武官世袭制对管事武官铨选的消极影响,但是,由于武举制度自身的局限和官僚集团的腐败,武举制度的推行未能对整肃武官队伍带来积极作用。因而,我们不能对武举评价过高。
