桂萼的经世思想与政治实践

桂萼是嘉靖初期的重要政治人物，由于“大礼议”事件的影响，历史上对桂萼的评价与其事功并不相称。桂萼一生事功以“为学为政，为德为民”为核心，其思想精华重在“经世致用”，他在君德、吏治、民生、财政、科举、教育等方面的一些重要思想，都是对儒家传统的仁政、德治、民本等经世思想的继承与发展。更可贵的是桂萼还针对这些思想进行积极的政治实践，对嘉靖朝革新及明后期改革皆产生了深远影响，因此桂萼可以说是明中后期经世致用思想的重要代表人物。

On Gui E's Statecraft Thoughts and His Political Practices

Gui E is an important political figure in early Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty. However, due to the impact of ＂Da li Yi＂ incident （Debate on Supreme Rite） , Gui E was given comments incommensurate with his contributions. Hs life achievements concentrate on ＂learning, administration, morality and civil benefits＂ , and his thoughts highlights in statecraft. Some of his important thoughts on Emperor＇s morality, officer regulation, people livelihood, finance, imperial examination and education are inheritor and developer to traditional Confucian thoughts of benevolent reign, rule by virtue and people-orientation. What is more noticeable is his practice of those thoughts in politics which brought about profound influences on Jiajing renovation and the reforms in late Ming Dynasty. It is justifiable to argue that Gui E is an important representative figure in the thoughts of statecraft in middle and late Ming Dynasty.
