| 摘 要： | 在我国的英语教材中常含有《圣经》的句子或典故，学生们由于对圣经知识了解较少，对所学文章中与《圣经》相关的文化背景的理解难免会产生困难，因此，这也就成了教学的重点和难点。本文拟从英语教材中的《圣经》典故的隐喻和语言对英语学习的作用进行分析和介绍。希望通过对《圣经》典故的由来及引用的分析和讲解，来帮助学生更深入理解文章，使其领略《圣经》语言风采，提高文学欣赏水平，达到英语学习和《圣经》学习相辅相通，拓宽西方文化的认知和提高语言修养的目的。
