略论十六——十七世纪中国与欧洲列强关于东南亚事务的冲突

明代中期以来,西方殖民者相继来到东方,与传统的亚太国际关系体系的主导国——中国,展开对处于两洋（太平洋和印度洋）两洲（亚洲和大洋州）的十字路口的东南亚地区的争夺,中国与欧洲列强就三大问题产生了矛盾和磨擦:一是东南亚诸国被西方列强侵占,破坏了以中国为中心的朝贡体系,二是大批东南亚华侨遭虐待、驱逐和屠杀,三是中国在东南亚的采矿计划遭到西方国家的强烈反对。本文将围绕这三大问题进行讨论,对冲突的原因、特点、双方态度进行剖析,以深入理解资本主义崛起时代中西社会的历史走向。

Some Thoughts on the Conflicts Concerning the SoutheastAsia Affairs between China and European Powersfrom the 16th to the Mid - 17th Centuries

Form the mid - 16th century on, European colonists had been making continuous inroads into the Fast East and contended with China for the Southeast Asia that lies between the Pacific Ocean and the India Ocean. This contest brought about some frictions and conflicts about three issues. First, the inroads to the Southeast Asia by European colonists had broken the China - centered tribute system. Second, a large number of overseas Chinese had been mistreated, exiled and massacred. Third, European colonists opposed intensely China's mining plan in Southeast Asia. This article discusses the three issues and further analyzes the cause, characteristics of and the bilateral attitudes to the conflicts in order to make better sense of the general historical trend of China and European powers in the growth of capitalism.
