乡村文化与现代性

乡村文化是一种内卷化文化。所谓内卷化是指一个系统在外部扩张受到约束的条件下内部的精细化发展过程。就此而言,乡村文化与现代化是异质的。但是,中国的现代化既不能消灭农村、彻底城市化,也不可能在乡村文化建设上放弃现代性取向,把乡村建设成独立于现代社会的"飞地"。从反思现代性角度来看,现代性不完全等同于现代化,它与乡村文化之间并非决然对立,在文化现代性框架中,乡村文化可以实现其性质与功能的转换。乡村文化现代性转型的关键问题与基本路径就是重塑乡村文化主体。

Rural Culture and Modernity

Rural culture is a kind of culture of involution.Involution refers to the internal intensified development of a system under restraint of external expansion.In terms of this,rural culture and modernization are heterogenous.However,China’s modernization can neither eliminate the countryside or bring about entire urbanization nor give up modernity in rural cultural construction.Nevertheless,modernity is not completely equal to modernization and it is not definitely opposed to rural culture.Within the framework of cultural modernity,rural culture can achieve the transformation of its character and function.
