沿海五市寿险业经营效率影响因素研究——基于DEA—Malmquist指数分析

基于沿海五市1997—2007年的面板数据，运用DEA—Malmquist指数测度了五市寿险业的经营效率，发现其效率整体上呈现逐年下降的趋势。样本期内，不仅技术效率逐年相对退步，作为技术效率提高主要推动力的规模效率近年来也开始下降，表明“做大”而不“做强”的模式面临着不可持续的危机。实证结果还显示：各地寿险效率的影响因素并不相同，同一因素的影响也不一致，各地应因地制宜地提高寿险效率。

Factors Influencing the Efficiency of Five Coastal CitiesLife Insurance Industry: An Approach of Panel Data DEA Malmquist Index

Based on the panel data of China＇s 5 coastal cities＇ llfe insurance industry from 1997 to 2007, this paper measures their Malmqnist index respectively through DEA approach. It shows that the efficiency of the 5 coastal cities＇ life insurance indus- try was declining, mainly due to the continuous degrading of technology and advent recession of scale efficiency. This demonstrates the crisis of the life insurance model which aims to ＂be grand＂ but not ＂be strong＂. The research also shows that influencing factors are varied in different cities, and that the influence of the same factor also varies in different cities. This implies that those cities should take different measures to enhance their life insurance efficiency.
