学期测试对英语教学的反拨作用

摘    要:论述了英语学期测试可能对教学和学习产生的影响,探讨了在学期测试中增设口语测试的必要性和可行性及其对教学的反拨作用,对如何有效地提高学期测试的正反拨作用而阻止其负反拨作用提出了有针对性的建议。

Abstract:English testing exerts positive or negative effects on English teaching and learning to different extents,namely positive backwash and negative backwash.Positive backwash can promote teaching and learning while negative backwash block them.This paper discusses those aspects of final-term examination that have potential consequences to teaching and learning,probing into the necessity and feasibility of bringing spoken English test into final-term examination,putting forward practical suggestions on how to enhance final-term examination's positive backwash and prevent its negative backwash effectively.
