论杜佑的《通典·兵典》

杜佑的《通典·兵典》以《孙子》的说法为经,以历代的相关见解、战例、军事设施、器具等等为纬,来布局谋篇,因而对于军事制度的考证显得十分薄弱,达不到全书中其它制度那种溯源明流、贯通古今的效果,但依然给读者了解和研究古代军事诸多方面提供了方便。杜佑认为军事附属于刑法,美化府兵制,否定募兵制,对安禄山叛乱的必然性作出机械的解释,是其不足之处;但对迷信运用于战争持批判和分析态度,闪烁着唯物主义的光芒。

On Du You's "Book of Military Affairs" in "Tong Dian"

The structure of Du You's "Book of Military Affairs" adopted Sun Zi's ideas and aided with relevant views, examples of battles, military installations and appliance of different dynasties, so, the research of the military system is obviously a weak part of the book, which is lack of the effect of the research of other systems. However, it provides convenience for the readers to understand and study the multi-aspects of the ancient military. Du You believed that military was attached to criminal law, and he prettified the Farmers Compulsory Service System and negated the Professional Service System. The weak point was that he explained the inevitability of An Lu-shan Rebel mechanically, but he criticized and analyzed the application of superstition in war, that is a materialist viewpoint.
