Dramatic Characterization of the Tragic Image in Mahler's Song of Young Vagrants

Gustav Mahler was a famous composer and conductor in the late 19^th and the early 20^th century Austria. His music works can be divided into two groups ： songs and symphony. The song cycle Song of Young Vagrants is his early works. Grief aesthetics runs through the song cycle, which presents the composers tragic experience. The dramarie characterization includes three aspects： melodic line, instrumental accompaniment and dynamics contrast.
