三十载的现代中国文学研究,走过了"在困惑中突围,在探索中求新"的道路.五四文学研究是起点也是重镇;由此为基地拓展开去,纵横求索,以新文学史观与新框架在80年代致力于多种形态文学史的书写与重构;进入90年代重在建构文学流派理论、文学研究思维学和现代中国文学史学,试图把现代文学研究纳入新的学科体系和理论规范.探索有得有失、有喜有忧,丰富并延续了我的学术人生.

Break Through in Puzzlement and Innovate in Quest

During my 30 years' of research into modern Chinese literature, I experienced two stages: "breakthrough in puzzlement and innovation in quest". The May 4 literature was the starting point and an important part of my research work. In the 1980's, I devoted myself to the writing and reconstruction of history of literature based on new viewpoints and new frames. In the 1990's, I focused my attention on the construction of theories of literary schools, the science of thinking in literary studies and science of modern Chinese literary history. I have experienced gains and losses and tasted pains and joys in this process and thus enriched and prolonged my academic career.
