| Abstract: | By analysing the inherent relationship between language and communication and the functions of language in the communicative teaching, this paper puts forward that the traditional teaching methodology neglects the application of language because of the influence of traditional linguistic theories. The communicative language teaching should be carried out with practical materials according to the information channels, choices and news feedback in the communicative activities. |
