| 摘 要： | 在美国当代女作家中,乔伊斯.卡罗尔.欧茨是一位成就卓著的女作家。本文将从结构和内容两方面入手,详细地分析欧茨在其著作《中年》中所运用的巧妙严谨的结构与深刻丰富的内容是如何完美地统一,融合成一部从全新角度透视当代美国社会中年人的处境的力作,从而表现了一群富裕的中年人在告别了青年时代后的各种各样的心态以及表达了经历了困惑的中年人的自我醒悟与重塑的深刻主题。

| Abstract: | Among contemporary American writers,Joyce Carol Oates is an outstanding woman writer.This essay aims to focus on the structure and the content in her novel ' Middle Age' and analyze in detail how the skilful and compact structure unite perfectly with the profound and complex content to fuse a distinguished work which see through the situation of the middle-aged in contemporary America from a completely new angel,depicting the different states of mind of a group of middle-aged rich people who have bid farewell to their youth and also expressing the theme of their self-awaken aod reshaping after experiencing their puzzlement in life. |
