改革开放以来，通过后天努力改变社会地位，成为社会阶层分化的主要特点。这种社会分层极大地强化了农民对教育的认识。随着社会的发展，农民的教育价值观经历了沉睡期、苏醒期、困惑期和理性期。当前，应树立职业农民教育观，完善教育体制并切实增加农民收入，提高农民参与竞争和向上流动的能力，促进阶层结构合理发展。
