中国古代市民史研究述评

援引“市民社会”理论研究中国古代市民阶层的各种尝试明显带有“传统——现代”两分的现代化模式的印痕。中国古代市民史的研究应该建立在“将中国的历史经验或现实作为研究的出发点”的基础之上。史学界对中国古代市民阶层有一些初步的研究,但尚未形成独立的学科体系。中国小说史研究中的某些成果能给市民史的研究提供启示。市民社会与宗法社会的关系是中国古代市民史研究的基本命题。

A Review on Study of Civil History of Ancient China

Applying to "civil society" theory of the west at a certain level, all the studies by now of traditional Chinese civil class are clearly characterized with a pattern of contradiction between "traditional and modern". It is argued in this paper that the study of this subject should be based on the Chinese experiences of its own history and reality, and explore an independent academic pattern. The revelation we might get from the achievement of study about the history of story-telling in traditional China is that, relationship between "patriarchal society" and "civil society" will be the basic topic of this study
