语言简写对阅读理解的影响

以输入假设和图式理论为基础，通过对152名非英语专业二年级学生的随堂测试，探究3种不同类型的语言简写对中国大学生阅读理解的影响。研究结果表明：词汇简写和混合简写对读者的阅读理解有显著提高；句法简写对阅读理解有着轻度阻碍；词汇简写较之混合简写对读者阅读理解的提高更有效，但无显著性。本项研究的结果对于阅读材料编写者和英语教师均有一定的启示。

The Effects of Linguistic Simplification on Reading Comprehension

Based on Input Hypothesis and Schema Theory,the current study was conducted to investigate the relative effects of three types of linguistic simplification on reading comprehension by means of a classroom test with 152 non-English major sophomores.Major findings are as follows: both lexical simplification and full simplification significantly facilitated readers' reading comprehension;syntactic simplification slightly debilitated their reading comprehension;in aiding Chinese tertiary EFL learners' reading comprehension,lexical simplification was only slightly more effective than full simplification.The research findings provide implications for material writers and language teachers as well.
