元认知理论在阅读教学中的应用

摘    要:元认知是指关于认知的知识和对认知的调节。阅读的目的是理解阅读材料的意义 ,要达到这一目的 ,就必须对阅读过程进行监控。这种监控包括 :明确阅读的目的 ,依据阅读的任务和要求调整阅读策略 ,识别并注意阅读材料的重要内容 ,监控理解活动并应付理解的失败。将元认知这一科学理论运用于阅读实践 ,有助于提高阅读教学的效果 ,培养学生的阅读能力

Abstract:Metacognition is defined as"cognition about cognition"or"thinking about thinking".The purpose of reading is to comprehend the meaning of the reading material. In order to achieve the purpose, monitoring process should be involved. It consists of making reading purpose clear, adjusting reading strategies according to the reading requirement, identifying the important clues of the reading material, monitoring comprehension activity as well as coping with the failure of comprehension. If metacognition is applied in reading comprehension teaching, it will develop students' reading abilities, enhance reading motivation, and thus increase their reading speed and improve their reading comprehension.
