| Abstract: | Euphemism is used in the ancient and modern literal works, newspapers and magazines. It is used frequently by people in their daily lives. Language is the carrier of thought and the mirror of the culture. As an expressive way of language, euphemism must embody the connotation and have the national feature. This essay elaborates the application of euphemism from its meaning and different kinds and probe into the psychological basis that bring about euphemism. |
