“思想－意象”：从德勒兹到巴什拉

"Image de la pensée": From Deleuze to Bachelard

Image de la pensée is one of Deleuze's central concepts. In creating this concept, he has tried to answer this essential question: what is the genuine starting point of philosophy? In the past, philosophers tended to submit image to concept, taking the former as the subjective presupposition of the latter; however, to Deleuze, it is image that has forced thinking to re-start. Similarly, Bachelard has also put forward some insightful arguments about the tension between image and thought. Obviously, a comparison of the similarities of the two great French thinkers is significant. Moreover, Nietzsche's image de la pensée has never been a central topic for Deluze, while it was one of the themes in Bachelard's L'Air et les Songes.
