袁段矛盾与洪宪帝制的败亡

袁世凯是北洋集团的领袖,段祺瑞是袁世凯的心腹将领,二人有着整整20年的关系和友谊。段祺瑞追随袁世凯,为袁世凯的成功竭尽全力,袁世凯则提拔、重用段祺瑞,委段祺瑞以重任。袁、段配合默契,清末民初政坛上的重大事件均与其有关。但在袁世凯集权专制完成后,袁、段关系裂变。尤其是在帝制问题上二人矛盾激化,先是袁世凯解除了段祺瑞的兵权,继而段祺瑞消极抵抗。北洋集团分裂,袁、段矛盾是袁世凯帝制失败的重要原因之一。

Contradiction between Yuan and Duan and the Failure of Hong-xian Monarcly

Yuan Shi-kai was the father figure of the Northern Ocean Military Group (NOMG), and Duan Qi-rui was his favorite general. Their relations and friendship lasted as long as 20 years. Duan Qi-rui followed Yuan Shi-kai, and shooted his last bolt to Yuan Shi-kai' s success. Yuan Shi-kai elevated Duan Qi-rui and put Duan Qi-rui in a very important position. Yuan and Duan consanguineously cooperated , and the great political affairs of the late of Qing Dynasty and the early of the Republican China had relation with them. Their relation broken after the autarchy centralization of NOMG power, and the conflict between Yuan and Duan became acute on the issue that Yuan Shi-kai wanted to be an emperor. Duan Qi-rui passively resisted Yuan Shi-kai after Yuan Shi-kai unchained Duan Qi-rui' s military leadership. The break of NOMG and theirs divarication was one of the important reasons what Yuan Shi-kai' s imperialization was unsuccessful .
