| 摘 要： | 委婉语是人类语言中的普遍现象，人们在日常生活中都在使用大量的委婉语。委婉语的使用是由人类共同的趋美心理所致，具有一定的美学价值。各民族独特的审美意识和审美观念又决定了委婉语之间的差异。文章从相貌与生理缺陷、疾病与生育、年老、贫穷等几方面就维汉委婉语的异同进行了初步探讨。

| Abstract: | Euphemism is a common phenomenon in human languages and is used a great deal in people＇ daily life. As it is prompted by human common psychology to seek beauty, euphemism has certain aesthetic values. People of all nationalities have their unique esthetic consciousness and their esthetic ideas, which brings about the differences in the use of euphemisms. This paper tries to briefly discuss the differences between Uyghur and Chinese euphemisms in terms of appearances, physical defects and diseases, birth, aging, poverty and wealth. |
